During a summer class at the American Conservatory in San Francisco Nicolas Cage fell in love with performances. He began in young comedies, such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and played many roles in films like Raising Arizona, Moonstruck and Con Air. For leaving Las Vegas in 1995, he was awarded an academy prize. Cage was born to choreographer Joy Vogelsang and to literary professor August Coppola in Long Beach, California, on 7 January 1964. Cage also performed with Adaptation and both Charlie Kaufman and Donald, an ill-tempered screenwriter.
