Margaret Qualley was born in Montana on October 23, 1994. Andie MacDowell, an actress and model, and Paul Qualley, a model, musician, contractor, and rancher, are her parents. Justin (born 1986) is her older brother, while Rainey is her older sister (born 1990). The Qualley siblings grew up on a ranch in Missoula, Montana, before relocating to Asheville, North Carolina, when Margaret was four years old.
When Qualley’s parents divorced when she was five years old, she divided her time equally between them. Her parents lived just three miles apart for many years. Her and MacDowell’s family home is in North Carolina, and they have extended family close by.She moved away from home at the age of 14 to study dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Jonathan Helpert directed the film, which was released on January 18, 2019. She portrayed Sam Walden, a teen who is rushing to discover a solution for her poisoned home world before the last shuttle off the planet to the distant human space colony leaves her behind. At the 2019 Venice International Film Festival, there will be a qualifying round.
She also starred as Mary Dalton in Rashid Johnson’s HBO adaptation of Native Son in 2019. Qualley was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie and a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries for her role as actress and dancer Ann Reinking in the FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon in 2019.
She also starred in Benedict’s Seberg, alongside Kristen Stewart and Jack O’Connell. In 2015, Qualley starred in the short promotional video L’Américaine for Tory Burch, an American fashion house. Qualley is the lead character in a KENZO World advertisement directed by Spike Jonze.
Ryan Heffington choreographed the 2016 short film/ad. However, because Qualley is trained in classical ballet, she improvised much of the dance routine. Soko’s 2017 track “Sweet Sound of Ignorance” featured Qualley and her sister Rainey in a music video.
