Christina Hendricks was born on May 3, 1975, to Robert Hendricks and Jacky Sue. Her parents worked as a psychologist and a US Forest Service employee, respectively. Her family eventually relocated to Fairfax, Virginia, in order to be closer to their father, who had been sent to Washington, D.C. for work. Christina Hendricks was bullied relentlessly as a student at the nearby Fairfax High School. Her one saving grace was the theatrical department at school, where she practised and performed in plays.
